Tulum, 1982. The exquisite site of Tulum faces the Caribbean Sea on the east coast of the Yucatan peninsula. Tulum was a planned city containing about fifty structures. It was first occupied about AD 1200. The view shows the inner courtyard. On a cliff overlooking the sea is the Castillo, with the Temple of the Diving God at its summit.
